All of you, don't miss this trip in this train. It is the highest train in Europe. And it is literally in the mountains for 1 hour. You will enjoy the amazing view from top there. One of the best trip i have ever done in my life. You will not regret it. Recommended

If you're driving to and fro this attraction in a day, it's likely to take about 3.5 hours all in all. With that tucked away, I do recommend visiting this place once in your lifetime. Sure, it's merely a train ride, with only one destination, with nothing except a lake and views, but it is the highest train in Europe. What this means is access is limited, no vehicles or planes or whatnot. It's a great family activity as the hikes are not too difficult. Some tips to make the trip smoother 1. Arrive early. Preferably 30 min before your train time. You need to take a cable car (15min) to reach the train station 2. Pack your own lunch and snacks if you don't want to rush. There are multiple restaurants at the base of the cable car station, one snack bar at the train station, and only one bistro at the end of the train ride. 3. The train is diesel powered, and the spout of the train in rather short. Sit further back in the train. 4. Better to bring proper hiking shoes. 5. Bring your own shade (cap/umbrella/jacket). It's either gonna be windy or very hot. 6. If you have a young child, bring a child carrier. 7. It's rather hard to find a parking in the main car park; however, there are more parkings behind the chalet/cable car base station.

This little train is the highest in Europe and the views of the mountains are awesome! The journey starts with a ten minute cable car ride to reach the train; this in itself is an experience but the train journey around the mountains is incredible. There are toilet facilities and places to buy food and drinks at both ends of the train ride. Once you reach the other end there is about a twenty minute walk up the mountain to reach the lake but again, the views were worth it. Everyone in our group thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience!

Beware of the misleading (and bordely scam) ticket \escapade\: it is more expensive and they say you can take any train back until the last one, but what they do not say is that you can only board trains with remaining available seats (after all other people with traditional tickets have boarded) and they only guarantee you a seat in the last train of the day, so you end up waiting for hours (2 hours in our case) before we could board and come back... Otherwise a nice experience, but a little overcrowded. The train is cute, roughly 1 hour ride. The site is beautiful and the path is very accessible even for non experts.

Really nice, beautiful landscape. The train is right next to the edge, it's amazing. There is a lot of life up there, marmots and lots of bird of prey.

Nice excursion to do with kids. Then if you want to climb you will easily find routes for all levels

Very nice ride with Europe's highest railway. Throughout the trip, you are met by a stunning mountain scenery with stunning views. First, go to the cable car in about 10 minutes from the ground where the car park is. The train on the mountain depart at a specific time and you need to keep track of what time it says on your ticket. You could buy the ticket online in advance to avoid waiting in line.
