My husband and I really enjoyed our stay at this place. Everything was clean and of good quality. The beds were big and comfortable. The owner was very friendly and accommodating, and the food was tasty and good value. He gave us lots of information on local history and tips for many excellent hikes in the area. This refugio is the best place to stay if you want to see the real Gran Canaria as it is situated right in the beautiful mountains. We felt very welcome, and I shall recommend this place to my friends. Probably my favourite holiday accommmodation I have ever stayed in. Thank you!
The place is extraordinary. It’s definitely one of those places, where spiritual phenomena happen Regarding the tough surroundings it is quite easy to reach with a car. The rooms are very clean and the host is very helpful and friendly. Totally recommend to anyone, who want to experience something different than a hotel with a crowded pool.
We were hiking the mountain with my friend and found this place on the way. The view is amazing and thought to have a peaceful dinner before we look for a place to spend the night. The owner was very cold with us straight from the beginning, but we ordered soup, lasagna, water for both of us. For some reason he started to be suspicious about us (we are two males in our 30s, in good physical condition) even if we said countless times how amazing the food is (it was). Then we got to the topic of accomodation and he offered we can stay in the caves close to this refugee house. That was very weird, since he runs a place with accomodation. It was clear that for some reason we are not welcome there. When we finished and paid the bill we asked if we can use the toilet, then he got very nervous. My friend spent more than 5 minutes in the toilet, and he started to ask me where is he, why is he staying there so long, why are we here, what are our plans. And repeating these questions quite often. I felt humiliated and by the time my friend finished in the toilet he did not even speak to us anymore. We were paying customers and been treated like criminals. We were actually open for accomodation options, and he offered a cage in the hill side instead of one of his rooms. We are experienced travelers, but never been treated like this before.
Amazing spot with really good service. Everything is clean, food is excelent and the owner is kind and helpfull.
Great place, in the middle to a nice hike to San Pedro or Tamadaba and with very competitivr prices (2.20 for a coffee and nestea beats most of the bars). They have a lot of information about the hiking trails and the stafd is incredibly friendly.
Este lugar es espectacular. Tiene una ubicación idílica. Habitaciones para hospedarse y un servicio de restaurante con una cocina a manos de un magnífico chef italiano, combinada con la gastronomía canaria. Totalmente recomendable.
Esta vez solo comimos ahí (muy rico) y con vistas espectaculares. Aunque queremos volver para quedarnos una noche, las habitaciones parecían muy limpias y los baños (que son para compartir) tambien limpios. Recuerdo que costaba 40 o 45
