Where to start? If you're thinking of buying, or leasing in Rhodes Ranch.. don't. For starters, the community center is a joke. When we first we're shown the place, we wondered why no one was in the pool(in the dead of summer). We figured it was just on off day. Nope, the water is run through a chiller, and absolutely freezing, and unswimmable. Seriously..colder than the Pacific you'll need a wet suit to swim there. It's as if they don't want people to swim there. If you like to feel like you live on a military base, and a false sense of security gives you a warm and fuzzy feeling, then this is the place for you. The security is ridiculous. If you think the security stops crime, I got a bridge to sell you. Security only keeps honest people honest, and invades honest people's personal privacy. If someone is up to no good, they will get in. Petty crime is nearly always kids already in the neighborhood. I've tested it many times. I've gotten through with no transponder, or showing ID more times than I can count. "Security" is an illusion. Its purpose isn't to protect you. It's purpose is to make/take your money, and collect data(and likely sell it off). All you get in exchange is false emotions. If living in some Orwellian BS utopia is your thing, then welcome home!

Like the previous review / guy said, yes go buy or rent somewhere else. As a homeowner here in Rhodes Ranch, I sure wish I had bought somewhere else. The security here in Rhodes Ranch is just a marketing tool (rent-a-cop). It's even stated in the CC&R. Well not with rent-a-cop slang.... Yet, they arm the security thinking that it'll deter the burglaries here in Rhodes Ranch. Apparently not... It's only changed the attitude of them. Like the previous guy said, the swimming pool is beyond freezing here. Unless you plan on swimming when it's 105-115 degrees then it'll be nice. Yet we pay 100 on HOA a month. But with all the homeowners here, you would think they'd manage keeping the pool cleaner for the 3-4 months it's open. I usually don't complain and put reviews on places. But it's finally got me on the edge to finally do so. Heck, I've even spoken with a few police officers who have noted on how difficult it is to get inside Rhodes Ranch when it's busy. Quite scary if you ask me. Wonder why... I'll keep it at that. I could go on and on...
Worst hoa, worst security guards
