Why are Diamond Resorts popping up on my credit? (It’s a soft pull) but I’m curious to why it even ran any type of credit?..

I booked a 4 day, 3 night stay with Diamond Resorts international one month ago against my better judgement. I told the salesman, “it’s not worth buying a package because I’ll never find good dates available at your resorts,” and he responded, (direct quote) “as long as you don’t call our Las Vegas location on December 20th to book a trip for New Years, you will always get a spot even at our most popular destinations. As long as you book a month or so ahead of time, we always have availability - no black out dates.” After that my wife and I talked with a couple of friends and planned to book a trip less than one month after securing the vacation package. On September 27th, (more than 3 month of advanced timing) I reached out to our travel agent to book a trip to Las Vegas (where diamond resorts owns 3 resorts) for New Years And was told that they had no availability. Diamond Resorts owns resorts in Las Vegas, yet not one available unit with 3 months of advanced notice. When I complained at the agent because of their false promises, he didn’t seem to care - no options to get my money back or cancel this package based on false promises. Then when I asked if they could tell me which resorts were available on New Years so I could consult with my wife about other locations, he let me know that’s not how it works and that we have to pick the location and then he can check - seems to be a stupid process and it has left me looking foolish to my wife and our friends because I got all of our hopes up for a Vegas New Years trip. I won’t be using this service again. More than 3 months of advance notice in a location where they own 3 resorts and they couldn’t come through for me. I don’t think they will ever come through unless I book inconvenient dates at empty locations. Thanks for nothing Diamond Resorts International!

Stay away! Do not sign! Do not give them your money!!! They should be out of business. You call and it says: hold will be 22 minutes - that means 120 minutes. They make everything very difficult, booking. Now we are trying to get out of our contracts because my father is passing. They refuse to pickup the phone.

Came to the Polo Towers for a tour and was very interested in what they had to offer. The rooms were fine, but nothing to rave about. After hearing what they had to offer, I was simply not interested in purchasing anything at that point in time, but was told before the tour that they would love me to spread the word about Polo Towers / Diamond Resorts to my friends if I ended up not being interested. This was not good enough for one of the employees here who was pushy, rude, and insulting. He went so far as to demand my ID and question my ethnicity. I could never recommend a place like this knowing that one of their employees is so terrible. Hopefully you will not have to interact with an employee like this if you chose to give this company your money.

Everyone of the resorts has excuses as to why when you get to the place it's not as described or as you requested
