Since entering this agreement, we have NOT been able to ever use the timeshare. I served in the U.S. Navy for 6 years and received an honorable discharge. As someone who served this country, I am entitled to be treated with respect, but the salespeople did not pay me this basic common courtesy. The free trips we were promised to get us to sign, turned out to all be lies. We have never used the timeshare and the 3 free trips we were promised were not free at all. This has caused us a financial hardship that gets worse every year. We have just wasted money on having trusted the promises made that we would enjoy vacations when and where we wanted. The salespeople used high pressure, lies, and deception to coerce us to sign. At one point they had pressured us so much and had us so frazzled and worked up that I could not even speak and could only stutter. Again, I thought we would not be allowed to leave as there were salespeople guarding the exits. Be weary of this company! They will lie to you and use every trick in the book to get you to sign the contract!

On October 27, 2011, while in Las Vegas, NV, we were approached by GEO Holiday representatives and offered show and dinner vouchers if we would listen to their timeshare presentation. We met our representative, Linda Carlson, and after the initial program, she began explaining how beneficial a timeshare would be for us. She said that it was property ownership and everyone knows that property always goes up in value, so we would not lose. We were hesitant, and then we had several “managers” alternating different deals alongside Linda’s. Each time we said ‘no,’ we were offered a better deal. Ultimately, we made the purchase for 24,773.46, though the meeting went on for 5 long hours. We were given bonus vouchers and we were sold on the fact that we could sell it or rent it out. Turns out, there are many aspects of owning this timeshare that has proved to be very undesirable. We have NEVER taken 1 vacation using the timeshare yet. We have tried to use the timeshare at least a dozen times. Every single time we tried, representatives said the units were booked. GEO Holiday still charges maintenance fees for a suite we cannot use, but someone else is using it. We were given vouchers for the bonus weeks the first 3 years, 2 free airline tickets with Southwest to anywhere in the United States, a voucher for a 7-day cruise, and a voucher to stay at another partner resort. NONE OF THE VOUCHERS TURNED OUT TO BE ANY GOOD! The timeshare is impossible to rent or sell. There is just no market for it. This timeshare has been the WORST business decision and we feel as though we were tricked into the purchase. This should be illegal and totally refundable of all the money we spent for a suite WE NEVER USED; NOT even ONCE! We have tried to use the timeshare at least a dozen times. Every single time we tried, representatives said they were booked.

If the ability to leave no stars was an option I would have chosen that option. The decision to purchase this timeshare was a mistake from the moment we signed the contract. We feel that we are throwing money away, into something that has no real value or will ever appreciate in value. Customer service is awful and rude. We were really disappointed in ourselves that the timeshare was able to con us into making this terrible decision. We realized that they completely deceived us into making this purchase. Read reviews of places before you decide to sign anything! Take our advice do not ever become a timeshare owner! EVER!

Since buying this timeshare 7 years ago, we have NEVER been able to make any reservations. We have received no value from this agreement. The salespeople deceived us into agreeing to buy this timeshare. Once we were able to read the contract, we realized it was more expensive than we had been told. It was not competitive with reserving directly on our own, and many extra fees were involved. The rooms offered were not as nice as those shown to us during the initial tour. Just book a vacation outright do not let a company like this take your money and run! Be smart and don’t buy a timeshare, especially with this company!

Horrible customer service. Takes month to get anyone on the phone. And we have called like 10-15 times. And still no solution. Managers are rude and argue with you on the phone when you are having a problem. Do not sign up you will regret it. They want you to pay for a membership for discounted trips when you can use that money for the trips. waste of money. And when you want to cancel your membership they make it impossible. DO NOT SIGN UP. You will REGRET IT
