I went to this store today. We love shopping at Pet Valu, they have a wide variety of items and are always very nice. However, I am a bit upset with corporate policy. I tried to return something I bought locally, which you should be doing during the pandemic. You can only refund things if purchased online, which makes it very hard to support local. I called the 1-800 number to see if I was able to ship it back, and they informed me they are only taking returns if they were purchased online. Hard to support local.

Tuesday Dec.10, 2019. This is not a review about the LaSalle Pet Valu as we have always had very nice service from the staff there, but rather an issue with the parent company. Having purchased a specific brand of dog food from this store for over 12 years, I called to ask if they could order the puppy variety for our new puppy. They said they could not. I called Pet Wise on Tecumseh Rd. in Windsor and they also told me that they did not carry the puppy variety BUT they would be happy to order it and I could pick it up in 3 days. We will not longer be loyal, long term customers of Pet Valu but will drive a little further for amazing service. Update Tuesday Dec 17, 2019 : Interesting that the response to my Google review from Pet Valu customer service was immediate and stated they would like the opportunity to connect with me, but when I forwarded a copy of my review and response from the owner to the customer service email I have heard nothing back. That was 5 days ago. I guess they didn't really want the opportunity to connect with me after all. it just looks good if customer service SAYS they would like the opportunity to connect. They don't actually have to follow up on the concern beyond that. Sad.
