My experience at ABC Bartending School was excellent. Classes were engaging & hands-on, and class-times were flexible. Greg, the instructor, is an encyclopedia of booze knowledge & bar stories. Would highly recommend this place for anyone who is interested in bartending.

This place is great! The cost of the course includes all the materials you will need. I went from not knowing how many ounces were in a shot to pouring stuff like rum runners. The course has a great pace, as well. You learn drinks Monday - Wednesday (Thursday is customer service lesson) then you learn more drinks Monday - Wednesday the second week (Thursday is drinks that won't be on the exam) then you take your test the second Friday. Everyone here is extremely knowledgeable about drinks (even the people in the offices who you wouldn't assume are) and they'll do everything in their power to help you. They also have a job placement service that I am going to take full advantage of (I just passed my test like an hour ago so I haven't gotten that far yet!) AND they offer a separate TIPS training which is only 60. Being TIPS certified will increase your chances of landing a job DRASTICALLY. It's definitely possible to pass the exam on the first try. I studied about an hour a day and I was completely fine. If you put a little effort into it, you will do great.
Greg the instructor is a top tier person and teacher. There’s always a good vibe and everyone is having a good time. Great class fully recommend.
My experience were awesome. Greg is amazing, full of personality, and definitely knowledgeable. You will not leave this school without knowing what to do for sure. Job placement provided me with a great job, before I could even blink. Thanks Mazal you rock! This is the go to school if you are considering the bartending industry..
I would recommend this school to anyone that’s looking into bartending, Staff was understanding especially daryl costello due to an family emergency i was not able to attend class, However i’ll be making it a priority to come back to abc bartending school, Daryl was very professional and welcoming me into the program.
Amazing staff! They do a great job teaching and using examples to learn every drink. All staff members are knowledgable, helpful, and make you feel comfortable.
ABC Bartending School provides an unrealistic standard of the industry. You can't just know the basic drinks and go to some random pub with your TiPS certificate. Its worthless. If you have experience enough to work your way in an establishment then yes, you can get that job. But that in of itself makes the entire school worthless. Mainstream places like Applebees, Buffalo Wild Wings, etc. won't even give you the time of day. The entire thing is a scam to take money from desperate college students, or adults trying to get a decent job in this economy. Its does not realistic to how the industry really is like. Despite having tons of experience on my belt, I could not find a job. Mostly because they never hire, or if they do, they only hire women. My little "diploma" is more useful as toilet paper.
I appreciate the staff and instruction at this school. It was convenient, just 15 minutes from my house, and quite affordable. All the classes were on time and the instructors Greg and Don had a lot of experience and entertaining stories about the business. I was not sure what to expect going into the class, but I left knowing 80 drinks by memory. The student also gets a great deal of hands on experience in a non- intimidating atmosphere. I am 100% more confident with alcohol and mixing drinks- I believe I have a great foundation for any future bartending or serving endeavors. I feel this class will be beneficial to anyone working in the food industry that serves alcohol. If you show up to class, practice in class, and study the drink combinations you will be very successful in the class and have fun too!
