Overall a good dinning experience good food & not to pricey, a lil slow getting waited on by the only waitress. She was very nice & attentive once she got going. I would go back nice & clean .

I grew up on the food. It was next store to my school and was affordable. But it wasn't always delicious. Sometimes the alcapurrias were dry. Overall great value.

We went there on the day of a big neighborhood festival where EVERY SINGLE bar and restaurant for blocks around was absolutely packed. This place was practically empty. We should have taken that as a sign, but unfortunately we did not. First off, though our waitress was nice and clearly had had a long day, she would not bring us table waters. I don't know why. Finally on the third request she gave me a single bottle of water. Again, I don't know why, she even asked me if bottled was good and I told her tap was fine. Second, the bar was embarrassing. The bartender had no idea what a vodka tonic, or a vodka soda was. I settled on a vodka Sprite (didn't get a twist of lime despite asking several times), but even that was too much of a request. I watched the bartender pour from a bottle of grey goose (I asked for Tito's) until the glass was 4/5 full. Despite that, the drink tasted like pure water that had a splash of Sprite on top. I've never sent a drink back before in my life, but I did for this one. Making weak drinks is one thing, but this type of dishonesty is something else. Finally, as you might have expected, the food was terrible. Truly awful. Old, dry, and completely flavorless. They had no hot sauce besides offbrand Frank's Red Hot, and even that was old and crusty. Several other reviewers have claimed this restaurant has been closed for health code violations several times, and I have absolutely no trouble believing that. Skip this place. Walk a few blocks to Papa's Cache Sabroso and get a jibarito or a whole chicken. You'll thank me for it.

The waitress was trying to overcharge me for a drink even though it was included in the lunch special. It took over 20 minutes to get service and the rice was old and overcooked. The service is not that great and the food is just ok. It's not worth the time or money.

My family and I went to the Boricua fest on Sunday September 3rd to support the boricuas fest and I suggested to my son let's go in Latin American to eat. We ordered Jibaritos and the portions were a joke. It wasn't even half a sandwich. We are completely disgusted at the meat with no flavor. My second time here and horrible experience once again. Will NEVER eat there again. It doesn't even deserve half a star but I have to click on a star to post my review.

Ordered alcapurrias and they were very, very salty. They might've been old. The place looked like it was closed. There were no customers except for me. Will nit be going there anymore.

If you want to throw away your money and time eating a Nasty & Disgusting food this is the place you have to visit. My husband and I went there looking for a good puertorrican food and our experience was horrible. First a man who was fixing a toilet put all the nasty parts above a guest table where people eat their food. Second we order alcapurrias de yuca y de masa and they was so dry, raw and so greasy, the bacalaitos and sorullos was horrible also so greasy. The waitress is a nice person but she was so embarrased because she know the food was horrible. PLEASE DO NOT VISIT THIS PLACE WITH YOUR FAMILY
