Maddie is an excellent counselor who is warm, empathic, and very easy to talk to. She has years of experience and expertise working with children, teenagers, and young adults and is comfortable discussing and working with a wide variety of challenges faced by clients at those ages. Her personality, creativity, and energy makes her a perfect fit for those populations. She is experienced with helping her clients recover from struggles such as depression, anxiety, bipolar, addiction, and trauma. Maddie is highly skilled with helping her clients to cope with challenging life transitions and helps her clients to be successful through major developmental milestones. She is a wonderful counselor, I would recommend her to anyone!

This is a dynamic practice offering high quality mental health services to children and adults. I've known Mark professionally and personally for several years and know that he deeply cares about his work and his clients healing. He is empathic and client centered. I know that the clients I have collaborated with him on and sent his way were well taken care of.

Updated 9/2020. Original post in 2017. My 17 year old son was being seen by Kate Rey for depression. I will assume it was for depression as Ms. Rey never consulted us, his parents, about anything. She treated his therapy as if he were an adult without notifying us that my son has suicidal ideations. He died by suicide on December 17, 2017. We only learned of his suicidal thoughts after we requested a copy of his file from Launchpad. We never received any acknowledgement or correspondence of my son's death from Ms. Rey. The owner of Launchpad Counseling did call me about 8 weeks after his death because he saw my Google review. My only questions to him was how did a minor child get to decide his treatment without including his parents and why would Ms. Rey not notify us that he had suicidal thoughts and help us create a plan to keep him safe. I guess my beautiful boy was just another copay to them. I miss my son immensely every single day. Parents, please don't simply trust that your child is getting good care. Be vigilant and demand that professionals keep you informed. But mostly, hug your children every day and remind them of how special they are.

Mark is such a dedicated therapist and compassionate, loving human being. I have interacted with him personally and professionally and would absolutely trust him with my own child in counseling. He is supportive of colleagues and goes out of his way to create connections and learning opportunities for therapists all over our city.
