Lausanne Palace Reviews | Rating 4.6 out of 5 stars (8 reviews)

Lausanne Palace is located in Lausanne, Switzerland on Rue du Grand-Chêne 7-9. Lausanne Palace is rated 4.6 out of 5 in the category bar in Switzerland. The story of the Lausanne Palace begins in the "Belle Epoque", an euphoric time for hotels. It was inaugurated on June 19th 1915 and ever since has been closely linked to Lausanne, being an integral part of the city's life. Much more than a hotel, the Lausanne Palace is an institution, a meeting place for the citizens of Lausanne as well as for international high society. It is not by chance alone that since 1980 the Presidents of the International Olympic Committee have taken up residence there. Over the last 15 years, nearly 60 million francs have been invested in the various improvements and renovations, allowing the hotel to offer every modern convenience whilst still retaining its "Belle Epoque" atmosphere. Throughout its history, the Lausanne Palace has welcomed royalty, celebrities and politicians from the four corners of the world and has witnessed some historic meetings. Its legendary hospitality and personalised service make it a reference for luxury and conviviality, a meeting of tradition and avant-gardisme: a luxury hotel that pays tribute to its 5 stars by putting its guests' comfort and well-being above all other considerations, a legend that has always moved with the times while foreseeing its guests' expectations. While continuing to forge ahead, the Lausanne Palace remains true to its reputation. This magnificent hotel, reflecting the greatest values of the luxury hotel business, remains on course towards evermore innovative horizons.

This is a magnificent hotel located conveniently at the heart of Lausanne, minutes away from Parc Montbenon. We were so impressed with the service and the spectacular room and the beautiful spa that our next visit is already in planning. Thank you, Guillaume, for making sure our stay there was fabulous.

A wonderful hotel with great views of lake Geneva. We took a lake view room and the view was just beautiful. The rooms are fairly large. What’s really beautiful about the hotel is it’s grandeur and old world charm. Every floor has a grand staircase which looks beautiful in the evening. The breakfast is good but nothing great yo talk home about. The staff is neither warm nor cold. They’re courteous but not to the extent of being friendly.

If any one is trying to find bargain deals for hotels go over to ʜᴏᴛᴇʟʙᴜʟʟʏ.ᴄᴏᴍ reserved a hotel room on there and these guys had the best prices anywhere! The view on the lake and the French Alps, the location in the city center near the metro station railway station & the trendy Flon area is just perfect. And the food is simply amazing!!

Exceptional hotel experience. Centrally located in Lausanne. Be aware of the uphill hike from the train station if you are carrying a lot of luggage.

I come pretty often here but just for eating at their seafood restaurant every year. It s almost the only one with seafood in Lausanne center (it s not a joke !). So I have almost no choice if I want to eat cold seafood plates... Every year it s really expensive... But this year... It s just ridiculously expensive. 12 little pink shrimps, a few oysters number 3 (the most common and cheapest existing), 10 bulots nothing but really nothing fancy, a tiny Moet Champagne bottle for 1-2 person, (after that I came to a Chinese restaurant to eat something as I was starving - I took a soup and a main meal noodles). About 340CHF total bill in the Lausanne's Palace (no it s really not a joke... I took an extra tiny plate but I didn't take a photo as it was so ridiculous) !! The waiter is so French and really not Swiss 5 stars standard (yes I go often to 5 stars hotel and restaurants). Whatever going out of his mouth I wanted to punch him. The taste of everything ? Very good as usual... But trust me, it s the same taste as when you buy in a common restaurant next to the door of your house BUT IN A TINY PORTION. Every year I do such things in this restaurant and I m so stupid but there s no other existing restaurant for cold seafood in the center (or outside --- cheaper - no competitors in Lausanne) !! but enough is ENOUGH. Never ever again.

Absolutely amazing hotel. One of the best I’ve ever stayed at. The service is exceptionally professional, personal and friendly. The room was really well presented, comfortable and clean. The spa was outstanding. I can not recommend this hotel enough. Julian and Élodie were brilliant at check-in and throughout our stay.
