I made an appointment online with someone from the Carrefour Laval branch. A lady from BMO called me the day before to comfirm the appointment and informed me it would be by phone due to covid-19. I also received a confirmation by email. They where supposed to call me at 2pm, it was 3pm and still no call.I waited a whole hour and no one has contacted me nor did they inform me about a cancellation. I find this very unprofessional. I understand she might have had a holdback with another client but an hour later and no call; this is playing with people’s time. I have been patient but this is not the first bad experience I have had with this bank. I simply wanted to open a CELI account and it is not possible to do it online on my own, if not I would have and not waisted my time. I allready sent an email to [email protected]. waiting for an anwser.

There's no real reason to actually walk into a bank in our day and age unless it is mandatory because of a required signature or excessive cash withdrawal. That being said, I actually waited no longer than about 3 minutes and a representative came out from his office to ask if he could assist. Since I needed to sign a document, I had to see the teller. No longer than another 3 minutes, another rep came to see me and actually opened a cash to serve me. This one off customer experience was marking aside from the fact that I've never had issues with BMO in my decades of banking with them. Superior online banking as well.

Bad service! Disappointed of BMO! Should of paid attention to the average reviews of this place ! Been a BMO client for years and I’m shopping for my first house! My fiancé and I, immediately decided to go to my bank for the mortgage preapproval a week and a half ago rather than his (TD) . The whole process was a bad experience. Not only did the “financial service manager” rush us because she had other clients next, we left with so many questions and no preapproval or interest rate info. She was not helpful during this meeting, and this was our first meeting ever of a mortgage Lon process. The following days, we sent her all the requested documents, and received no reply from her. We called, and emailed again, still, no answer. She ended up calling a week later to say how much we got approved for! No explanation or apologies on why she was not answering to us. What I sent her were confidential documents, a simple awknoledgement of received would of been appreciated. Today, this “manager” sent me an email that did not even include our preapproval letter, the amount she told us over the phone, our names, or the guaranteed mortgage rate. Again, we had to ask her to send that info, she replied with a document that does not even work!! Terrible service ! And from my understanding... this is a manager Like buying a house isn’t stressful enough! Will definitely NOT be doing business with BMO for any loans.
Never have any issues here, I usually go to the ATM and never have a problem. Nice and simple.
The service is always excellent, courteous and comprehensive. I've been visiting for years and the only caveat is just like any other Bank: it might take a few minutes before being served during busier hours.
Employees of this branch suffers from Level 10 telephonophobia.
