SCAMVANGELISM It's a CULT, and no coincidence that it is named after Lucifer.

We had a Saturday event here, which was amazing. The building and rooms were inviting and the people were wonderful hosts. Every detail was lovingly taken care of, making it easy to encounter God, the very reason for our gathering.

Visited here three times and was never greeted by anyone. Even during the time in the service when people are directed to shake hands and say hello. I don't even think the staff is aware of who is new and who is not. The leadership of the church should have \seeking eyes\ that purposely look for new people and greet them. It felt weird to be sitting there as a family and not have anyone come and even shake our hands and greet us. Can't say we would go back there again.

I’ve thought and prayed over this review for the past 24 hours but I think an honest review needs to be reported. Our family is new to the area - moved here just before Christmas- and we are looking for a church that will meet our needs. When we came into the building yesterday for the 11:00 service, we wandered around without any direction. No one seemed to notice we were there. The first person to reach out and say hello was a man in the congregation who sat in front of us - and he said hello at the coffee station, then again during “meet and greet time” (20 minutes into the service). I would promote him to head of the Welcoming Committee! My husband and I have served in church ministry ourselves, so we know what we could expect when we walk into the doors of a church for the first time. No one helped us to find classes for our kids. No one showed us to the Sanctuary. We noticed there was a Welcome desk but the one person standing behind the desk was occupied with one gentleman for as long as I stood waiting for my son to go to the restroom (5 minutes or more). This is the third church we have visited in Lawrence & I would like to give Morning Star another try but our first-impression is quite lacking in comparison to the other two. The Worship was great. The sermon was relevant and applicable. Our pre-teen enjoyed his class. But the first 15 minutes of our visit left us really sad & unfortunately colored our entire visit.
