The court here is a RIP OFF! DO NOT purchase a copy of the courtroom record!!!! BEWARE!!!! They say they charge 40-70 to take it down but then it costs upwards of 650 to get a copy of it!!! THEY DO NOT TELL YOU THAT!! So you pay 40-70 then say the actual report costs sooooo much! Essentially stealing your upfront cash!! YOU CANNOT GET IT BACK!! Gwinnett county is a thief!

5 stars for all the reviews, best 30 min of my day. With that being said I had to stop here to ask directions because I was given the wrong address to pick up accident records and everyone was pretty cool.

I have been to several jails in Georgia. If I had a choice, this detention center would be the best. No other jail beats them on the food, free-time, and cleanliness. You have hot water for shower/food. Movie room is open on the weekends and I played volleyball to keep my mind off other things. It sucks to be in any jail but I was here for 2 years.

My normal viewpoint is that the detention center is in a higher class than the average jail. However I’m very disappointed today. I drove over an hour to be in court with my friend. He was to be released. I realize they don’t transport them immediately. At noon I inquired of the person at the desk as to an approx time frame being as I came so far and let him know that I had no clue where else to go to wait. It was in at least the upper 80’s. I returned to my car and waited and waited. Inmates eventually were slowly being released. Most of them were walking and didn’t have someone waiting for them. I understand process and procedure but also basic human courtesy. At 5:30 I knew I had been above and beyond patient in any regard. I re enter. I re inquire... shift change...I am told it should now only take about thirty minutes. I spoke to a different person the second time but the man I spoke to first was still there. I am almost 50 years old with a heart issue and I realize everyone has a job to do. I was more than patient and if the information related to me the second time is accurate.. I will have waited 6 hours...I realize someone is going to think.. why didn’t she wait inside... well because I’m having serious reflux issues with a cough that is apparently related to my heart issue so it was basically out of respect for everyone inside. I really hope he is processed out in the next 30 minutes. I still respect the process.. just a little disappointed in my experience today..
