This restaurant is in a great location. A year ago in May, we rated this restaurant 5 stars. The products were local and the assortment of vegetables varied and fresh. Our recent meal here was disappointing. (The restaurant, we learned, had changed ownership.) I would stay away from the lobster and inquire about the origin of the meats/fish on their menu. The presentation is nice and the prices are high, so one would expect more local food offerings, such as I found in some other restaurants in France during my travels. Nantes being nearly on the Atlantic, I splurged to order lobster thinking it was a local crustacean. When it was served, I asked its provenance. It took a while for someone to get back to me: it turns out that it came from Canada! The lobster was served with a tasty sticky rice side and was also supposed to come with a side of potatoes (too much starch for health reasons). In the past at this same restaurant, I was able to order a side of all kinds of fresh vegetables instead of the starches. All that they had to offer this time were peas and carrots - also starchy. (I found the lobster to be very salty. I eat lobster from Canada often and have never had it served so salty.) When we are in Nantes next year, we might give it another try. This time we will ask for the food source before ordering.

This is a SUPER PLACE! It seems to be touristical cos it’s just in front of the old castle but, it it’s not. The express menu is awesome. We had beef and the avocado salad, just geniale. I totally recommend this place. Plus, the music is awesome.

Starter was nice (fish), steaks for main course were a little tough and fatty, desert was lovely.
