Reserved for 2 nights online I made sure to look at any fire restrictions even tried calling with no answers. Got there set up no one at the \entrance\ (where ever that is there is no greeting or gate) this old grumpy guy ( I felt like I was in the twigh-light zone) slowly approaches us after we set up our tent and got everything out setup begins to tell us \there is no propane cooking allowed whatsoever and if he sees us he will report us and there will be a 1000 fine\ what? Not even an apology other than \they aren't going to refund you for your reservation\... . I asked the guy if there was a phone number he would call to report such things so as I could make an inquiry regarding propane restrictions without at least a notice of restrictions online. He started stumbling and bumbling about \there are 3 numbers the he has and he could get them to me when he had time\ when he has time? After a few minutes he came back with a sheet of paper and threw it out from his golf cart on the ground! Wow... Who goes camping for multiple days without using some sort of propane or cooking device and how rude to toss the paper on the ground? I realize the old guy just works there and that's his life but, why isn't there a restriction noted online and give warning to campers? People plan these stays and driving distances! Anyway after the unpleasant experience we just decided to leave as our whole stay was based on cooking our food, besides that the site we had (loop 1 #6) was at an incline with no real flat area to set up our tent the restrooms were disgusting, everything was dry dusty and unattended. Interesting to note while we were packing up to leave, the old guy comes back and turns our eserved\ sign around to show \available\ wow... I feel like I got scammed out of 48 bucks and he's ready for the next suckers. Needless to say never going back to this place ever!

It was really nice to be there we had a great time we had awesome neighbors but the only down, fall was the gusty winds it almost blew our tent away. Other than that we loved it.

It's alright if you plan on spending time at the lake. Camp hosts were friendly and there was ice and wood for when we ran out. You get a lot of people and they speed through the camp, so be careful. Very LA. If your looking for a quiet place and seclusion, look somewhere else. Again, great spot for ease of access for the lake with pull through parking.

If I could give this place 0 stars I would. My family and I booked and paid for a campsite for this weekend. All our stuff was setup at the campsite. We go out to the lake for a few hours. We come back to the campsite we paid for and there were 2 girls at our campsite setting up their camping gear. We tell them that this is our spot we reserved. They go on to tell us that BJ said it was ok for them to camp there and to toss our stuff onto the highway. Like really who says that? What type of customer service is that? Especially to paying customers. We spoke to BJ and he was very rude and huge Ahole. If this is the type of service and rudeness paying customers are going to receive then you need to re-evaluate who you hire. We camp here all the time and had never had this issue until today. also our 300 canopy was deliberately destroyed by someone in your campground. Unfortunately after this incident we will no longer reserve a campsite here again.

Very peaceful. Easy to access from the freeway. Pyramid Lake is a minutes drive away from camp ground.
