It's a nice train station, very accessable and few kilometers from the city center, but the government need to do more to upgrade the train station and some locals trains.

The starion is similar to any small town railroad station in Italy. It's pretty busy at times with regular train service to the north (Brindisi) and beyond. Train service to the south and southwest is spotty at best. The FSE bus to Otranto does not leave from the station itself but from a small side street nearby (via Don Bosco). The station bar is convenient for drinks, hot and cold, and sandwiches, etc. Everyone I encountered is very friendly and helpful, even if you are not speaking Italian fluently.
Very cosy only thing that I could suggest to government, try to accommodate homless people in real apartments. Do not let them sleep on the ground in waiting room
Very friendly staff who helped me with getting to the right train, the station is a bit old but it's not a big problem
Small but quite comfortable Railway Station with all necessary facilities and services.
