Lechlade Trout fishing disappointing again. Fished here many times and never caught my limit, I know it's a big fish water. Stripped the water for eight hours.Blanked. So did my friend. Buy 4 fish ticket and usually catch at least one. 20 fishermen and only saw 7 or 8 fish landed.Thats fishing I know. Keeper said he had put in 450 fish as it opened two weeks previous and then another 180 fish recently. I know it's deep and the water is coloured, but come on. Not new to this game by any means ( 25 years ). Are the fish all sulking on the bottom? Saw a few jumping, but not that many. In eight hours there, didn't see one fish swim past any of the pegs I was fishing from and I worked 2 laps of the lake from nearly every peg. Keeper said it's easier when it's colder. Maybe at 13 degrees to warm for this fishery? Will try once more when things get cooler to see.

This is my 'go to' big fish fishery for trout - the lakes are stunning with a lovely wooden bridge crossing form one side to the other. There are monster rainbows and brown trout that are reared onsite. Tim really does look after the site, you couldn't ask for much more. Clubhouse, toilets and tackle shop are all onsite.

Just love these lakes. I was fortunate to catch a beautiful 8lb rainbow. Will always be hapoy going back there

Very enjoyable fishing , 3 lumps 8lb 3oz, 7lb 1oz and 6lb 9oz, fought well, pleasant day plenty of trees to catch as well

Cracking venue for some trout. Quality fish and fly fishing. Average size from the 7 fish we caught over 2 days was over 10lb. Lost plenty and saw loads about. Some lovely browns in too.
