We were catered for lovingly and I thought all the staff present serving not just us but others were very attentive and efficient. The food was superb and prices very good. The tables were spaced nicely and clean. Candlelit evening made it just perfect for us. There's a good play area outside for kids and the outside would be lovely in the summer I'm sure.

Outstanding. Never disappoints. Great food. Lovely friendly staff. Great atmosphere. Very COVID aware we felt very safe. What are you waiting for give them a call and book a table. It's how a pub should be.
Visited today for the first time. Booking was easy...we got stuck in traffic and were 15 minutes late but we rang in advance and they were quick to answer the phone and polite. Hand sanitizer on arrival....tables spaced a good distance apart. Carvery was served to you. Lovely beef and food. The bakewell tart was really really good. Nice garden too which we sat in after food. Flowers on the table were half dead so could have been changed. Waitresses really friendly and witnessed them wiping down tables and chairs after use. Would definitely visit again.
absolutely fantastic..get in early
Food was up to usual high standard, booking was strange as were told that they were fully booked but when I asked for early time they could fit us in. Arrived to find one family only in our section of dining room, and were directed to table next to them, (social distancing?) While we were there only one other family, lady with 2 girls, came in. Let me say we did not feel uncomfortable and the staff were friendly and efficient but just felt that the allocation of tables and the booking seemed strange. Will visit again.
Haven't been since around Feb this year - finally revisited this afternoon and the staff, food and place itself are still great! Minor swap with my steak but handled without fuss and it was perfect in the end :).
Excellent in all aspects. Lovely atmosphere, lovely staff and an absolutely delicious meal. Thank you!
