I had a bad experience with this jeweller took my dead mums ring in to be resized I believe it was the owner who told me the diamond needed resetting & claws adjusting as stone was very loose I felt quite intimidated & uncomfortable as I believe I wasn’t the”type of customer for them to pay much attention he told me it would be an investment for my grandchildren to make the ring secure as it was also 18carat gold so I left it with them & when I called to pick it up I was flabbergasted at the price but thought a diamond 18carat ring to pass down to my granddaughter was worth it but on walking through city centre I called at a pawnbrokers to value the ring they told me it was only a diamond chip & basically worth a few quid! I had just payed for alterations THREE TIMES more than the total value of the ring! I spoke to the owner next day & got no satisfaction he was totally patronising & smug so I told him I would write a review as to my experience at his shop he told me if I did I wouldn’t be believed & he would scathingly reply & force my review to be removed- that happened approx 2 yrs ago & I kept my review to myself until now, I thought the worst circumstance of my situation was the stairs-don’t waste your oxygen!
