I can always get an appointment when needed, I am always taken seriously and I have never had a bad experience. Even when there has been a wait, it's because the doctors take the time needed to accurately diagnose and treat, rather than just churn people through, to strict time slots. All in all an excellent surgery.

Went in for a sick note, which no one enjoys doing. not a pleasant experience. First time I've resorted to needing one ever in 20 years of work. I asked for the note to cover an extra day so I can go back feeling 100% even though fingers crossed hoped not to use it. I got it grudgingly with a nasty passive aggressive comment about wanting an easy day back on the Friday. You'd think having been off for a week thats probably not a bad idea?! No goodbye, barely looked at me just thrust the note at me after furiously tapping notes. Not great.

Plenty of appointments available with GPs, nurses, and nurse practitioner's. Open until 7pm!!! They do say that they have appointments available over the weekend too but I have not been able to get one so far. Have to be careful to remember where your appointment is because they can also be at their sister practice, Holly Bank Surgery in Headingley. The staff are friendly and helpful. Referrals are put through without fuss (on their part at least) and staff are open about what information they have available to them and talk to you in real terms (which is often not enough but this is due to the NHS record system which is not centralised). However, my boyfriend has had a bit of a delay in getting a copy of his medical records for his own use in a legal situation, so a recommendation would be implementing a signposted process that is subject to restricted time frames. The small details are attended to: ample seating, a cool water dispenser, clean loos. Overall the best GP practice I have been registered with, and I have moved around A LOT.
