This place is a hidden gem, we have been a few times and always loved the quirkiness of everything. Exposed brick walls and dimmed lighting, exciting and inventive menus, friendly and smiley staff. The menus are seasonable and our waitress told us it changes regularly. We visited for a birthday celebration for tasting menu and we loved every course. It was nice tasting menu foodie food that isn’t... pretentious.

Absolutely delicious food in a chilled atmosphere! Made even better by the fact it was reasonably priced for what you get. Literally the ONLY reason I haven't given 5 stars is because we were left waiting at the end for over 20 minutes to receive the bill, which I would totally understand had it been busy however we were the last table there, and in the end we got up and paid at the bar. Other than that the staff were very attentive and friendly. Definitely worth a visit!

We came here prior to national lockdown, but after local restrictions forced us to change plans for a friend's 30th birthday. As we were from 4 different households we needed to sit outside which Shear's Yard were happy to accommodate. We sat in their lovely yard surrounded by crunchy autumn leaves. The 5 course lunch we had was delicious and enjoyed by all, with the option of inventive veggie alternatives (no mushroom risottos here). We also had some great cocktails and wine. All topped off with lovely service from welcoming staff! Looking forward to going back.

Friendly staff, amazing food and superb cocktails. Just get rid off those pepper mills and salt shakers. You don't need them at the table.
