Always a place I enjoy going to. Sitting in the garden area watching the planes take off and land is so relaxing, especially on a warm day. The food is great and priced very fairly, the staff are lovely and always happy to help or answer questions

I had a surprise taster flying class that lasted 30 mins, bought by my partner. I was completely gobsmacked and very excited. It's quite an overwhelming experience to be in a light aircraft and I loved it, but didn't feel confident about trying to fly the plane and I found the instructor very abrupt, rude and made me doubt myself. I found myself apologising for not understanding his instructions and finding it hard to steady this two seater plane. He said at one point \do you know what a nose is?!\ Which was completely mortifying. Yes I do know what a nose is. I just felt overwhelmed and confused by the wind pushing the plane and it was my first time understanding how planes work! I would do the trial again but with a more patient instructor. I'd have liked to have understood the aircraft a bit more before take off. There was little conversation with this instructor which felt really awkward. I still had an amazing flight even though the instructor clearly couldn't stand me. How can you not enjoy flying?

I had an absolutely fantastic time there, I'd recommend it to anyone. I was working on circuit training before the virus put a stop to it all. I'm 63 now and had yet do my first solo. Given my age and how far I've now fallen back, I've reluctantly taken the decision not to proceed further. Amongst friends and family I'm the only one to have taken off and landed an aeroplane without the instructor needing to intervene. Wonderful lifelong experience, five stars aren't enough. My advice! Stop thinking about it and go for it. Five stars for Sherburn Aero Club aren't enough, try ten stars.

Very helpful professional and friendly. Gave me a days membership so I could do my dual biannual check flight. Would definately recommend them. Pete.

Very well kept grass runways, cafe wasn't open when I visited but facilities looked very nice. Free landing fee with fuel uptake of 40L.
