I was admitted on Jan 9 2021 at about 08.30. Having been assessed in A&E, surgical assessment, scans etc. I had an emergency abdominal operation at 9pm. I was then cared for on Ward 46 for 6 days and Ward 84 for a further 6 days. Throughout I was treated with the utmost care and attention by amazing professional staff from all departments. What more can I say.

Staff nice and polite to talk to just a shame that's all they seemed to be doing is talking to each other. Patients left to fend for themselves most of the time as staff too busy chatting in the corridors, desk and break room , food not good same stuff on the menus pretty much every day for lunch and tea which was salad ,toastie ,sandwich , jacket potato all of which you could have with either ham or cheese, not much choice and you could only choose one thing, so for instance you could have a jacket potato with salad. Portions very small too. No wonder people lose so much weight in hospital! To think this was one of the best teaching hospitals in the UK certainly isn't any more.
