A more upmarket fish and chip restaurant. That's pretty much all there is to say. The Whaler does other food items and our large group all enjoyed our meals. The decor is nice, traditional and the servers wear formal attire. The added piano player and music is a nice touch. But to be honest im not a big fan of this type of restaurant. Fish and chips is simply that, the over the top presentation does not mask that fact. Don't get me wrong, im happy to go again but just as happy eating the same food out of brown paper.

Perfect staff, very attentive, friendly and helpful. Food is absolutely beautiful and gorgeous. fully disabled access, big rooms, disabled toilets, lots of room for wheelchairs, walkers and prams. Gluten free options and senior citizens meals available also.

Been here a few times, both in the restaurant and used the takeaway. Food is always good and no complaints with the service. Kids also enjoy going here.

Lovely place and good food. Very friendly staff. My problem today was that I was facing the stained glass endow and I kept looking as something wasn't right. I finally figured it out and pointed it out to the lovely servers. It has, apparently, been like that for many years and nobody has noticed!!,

We took Dad out for the day and started reminiscing about trips to Ilkley. It must have been 30 years since I last came here with him. The fish and chips were lovely and a very safe set up with the COVID too. I’m a right romantic, so of course I had my cute picnic Matt and cutlery to create a more attractive outdoor dining experience.... See plastic wine cups full of D&B So happy that this place has been kept so well for us older people that are feeling nostalgic. My super cute Dad loved this visit with his grandchildren. 5 star’s from us.
