Good pub and the novelty of cooking my steak on a hot rock was fun

It looked fine but the food menu was very basic if you are in the billiard room. We were in there as they are very dog unfriendly and we were forced to be in that noisy and sparse room. My recommendation is that you try it unless you want your dog to be with you and if that's the case, avoid it like the plague.

Lovely old style pub. Great atmosphere. And amazing home cooked food.
Nice old pub for the traditionalist. And the food was reasonable and priced right.. No problem in visiting again should need arise in the future
Fab pub and great food. Closed for refurbishment and change of hands. Really hope it's still a proper country pub with fresh cooked food.
A good local pub which serves food. A particular favourite of ours is food served on the hot rock where you cook the steak or other may to your liking on a hot rock at the table. We have been allowed to take the dog in, but I sometimes feel a little reluctance to allow this. Food is good.
