Called to make an appointment for my elderly Dad. Extremely rude receptionist. Didn't want to listen to what you had to say. Website says doc accepting new patients. They should also add a note that 1st appointment is 4 months out. The answering machine speaks of two doctors but when I asked the nurse if there is any other doctor available to see, she answered with a big 'No'. I understand the Doc is busy but the receptionist can be a little courteous. My Dad has been recommended for emergency GI diagnosis. I called Dr. Lafsky's office since they are close to home. Wish this could have worked out. The one star is not for the Doctor himself but for his office staff.

The male receptionist comes off a little abrasive and argumentative. Not the best front office experience. When a new patient calls to make an appointment the staff needs to set the proper expectations. I didn’t know I was only going in for a consultation. I thought I was having my procedure done that day.

This place could not be less helpful. The archaic answering machine makes it impossible to determine how to make an appointment. When you finally 0 out of the answering machine, the guy tells you before making an appointment, you have to come in for an office visit...the next available appointment is two months away! If you value your health, look elsewhere.

It is hard to believe the lady at front desk was being so rude. There is no greeting to me and when she return my cards to me she threw the card back to me and a little while she threw the second card to me again while I was getting body weight. And when the nurse measured my blood pressure from right arm and I asked if she can do it on my left arm as well since the two arms often show different number and she did not want to do it. In the year 2001, just after September 11, my husband went to see Dr. Lafsky, and he told me that the way the frond desk lady treated him as if he was one who bombed the twin towers, which really surprised him. After so many year the styles in this office are still the same and no change.
