We had a smooth and highly professional experience with Legacy Mortgage in refinancing our house recently. Heather Gilstrap was always communicative, very knowledgeable, and efficient in helping us through this process. I highly recommend using Legacy Mortgage.

I leave this place 0 stars if it’d let me but it requires at least one star to submit the review, I don’t recommend using them. They push EVERYTHING till the last minute, will forget your paper work, and on top of that a year later they will tell you they lost your paper work won’t except copies that you made of the original, schedule to meet with you and then COMPLETELY forget about the meeting and the mistake they caused. It’s obvious this company doesn’t make its customers a priority save yourself a headache and your time and find another place to go through.

Applying for a mortgage involves disclosing some of the most sensitive information about yourself. The professionals at Legacy Mortgage make the entire process as painless as possible. I like being able to have a real conversation with a real person who handles everything with personal care and concern. Working with them is much better than going with a national lender.

In fear of leaving my dialogue public \biting the hand that feeds me\ so to speak, I deleted my post but not my star review. We had the MOST stressful experience with Legacy in buying our home this July. Some may think what did WE do to cause this experience? Let me just tell you, our credit and jobs and downpayment especially amidst a pandemic were top notch and we turned in every document asked of us in a timely fashion. This company managed to derail the scheduling of the appraisal on time. Our realtor happened to know the appraiser and got things sorted out. Then in the final week of closing they delayed turning a million things in on their end. I had no idea a lender could delay closing not once not twice but three times with their poor time management and poor communication. To do this for a living and miss deadlines and delay our closing 3 times was insanely stressful. I'm a nurse (during a hectic time) with 3 small kids and i couldn't even get the manager to return my phone call when all this was transpiring. I was going to not enter my experience down as long as they were the lender for our home. But, before we even made our FIRST mortgage payment they sold our loan. Haha thanks for the solid! I wish I had chosen Wells Fargo who offered us the same low interest rate bc there was absolutely no benefit of the transaction with Legacy. They talked me in to it and i regret it. Good luck and don't expect a pleasant experience if you want peaceful, time managed closing.

Working with Legacy Mortgage was so easy and comfortable. Our loan officer, Heather Gilstrap answered my hundreds of questions with out making me feel like a dummy. I feel like I better understand my mortgage and I know I found a mortgage that best meets my families finances and future plans. It’s nice to work with a company who employ people like Heather. I value her kindness and direct answers. Such an amazing experience.
