I have been living 100m away for a month, and tonight the day before I fly, I'm sitting, shaking, mesmerized by the out of space experience that hit my taste buds....the setting is simple, at the corner of South bridge road , brightly lit, with round and square tables Kopitiam style (without the chantourné central leg though ). The menu is also simple, but there are a few specialities, mix log organ soup, braised pig, and of course the legendary bak Kut teh, subject of this little review. It's a bowl of soup with some pork ribs that slow cooked many hours , in many different varieties of medicinals herbs , with a bowl of rice, and some spicy Jiangyo..... It's so simple, and so tasty. It's difficult to describe all the different types of spices that light in the mouth...a strong sense of pepper, and slow cooked garlic is probably what emerges the most, that gives some rich taste to the pork ribs submerged in the pork bouillon. Too bad, thatsbmy last day, buras Arnold say, I'll be back.

Different taste from Malaysia bak kut teh,but still a must try Singapore local Bak kut Teh!
Friendly staff and classic style restaurant.. lot of celebrities photo
Attentive and friendly service is rare in Singapore. When you dine in here, you’ll experience it directly from the boss owner. Soup flavors and meat tenderness are top notches. Price point is also on par with the amount of food you’re getting. Consistency across multiple visits earn this place my 5-stars rating. Keep up the good work!
Delightful Bak Kut Tea. Ordered the Long Pork Rib soup. I enjoyed the peppery soup and fresh pork ribs. Utensils also came in piping hot water for sanitation. Two thumbs up.
Had the lean meat pork soup. The pork is super tender. Great service too! Will visit again.
Good pork rib soup and very peppery. The pork flavor was great, but the pepper was too much for me. But this was my first time having Bak Kut Teh, and the pepper sounds like the way it should be. The store has A/C, the waitress spoke japanese and they were very friendly! They had a DIY kit that you can buy to make the soup at home.
The soup is ok, a little too salty. The dish are so-so. The pot of tea has so little tea leaves by the next refill of water the taste is already gone. The meat is fresh, I do agree. I prefer other Bak Kut Teh place.
