Dr. Darley is a good arthritis doctor/ rheumatologist. His office and nurse respond promptly to any inquiries. He stays up to date on new research and has good suggestions. He is knowledgeable and kind. He is currently in Lehi two days a week and in Provo the rest of the time. I would recommend him if you need a rheumatologist.

Seemed like a good sharp doctor. But my issue is when a doctor is a learned, they tend to think they are wise with the glance of a new patient. In my short impression, the down side is that he seemed to have a predisposition to suspecting that I had ulterior motives or addiction to pain meds or something, considering my age (46) with earlier stages of Rhuematiod Arthritis compared to the elderly folks I actually care for in the facilities I own. I seemed to feel like he was fearful of the possibility of ending up prescribing unnecessary addictive pain meds. This predisposition seemed to influence his ability to be unbiased in his diagnosis and treatment, which could be a combination of many different problems. And because I was at fairly beginning stages (and self-pay with no insurance, he seemed less interested to help me prevent it from getting worse, and wanted it to be worse before helping more). Obviously, this is all just my impression and experience from limited interaction with him, and I could be wrong in my assumption and impression of him, or maybe he or I just ate something wrong that day. \u200d️ -but just trying to be transparent. I think I also have many other medical issues complicating everything and being able to clearly see where all of my issues stem from. And, I am reflecting on it while sitting on a surgery table right now for a shoulder surgery waiting for surgery -for one of my other issues causing significant pain and complication as well. I have no direct other complaint about him, and he may be much better than what I experienced, so take it with a grain of salt. But it has been a challenge for a while now because of his lack of interest to help me find and address my medical issues and the domino of effects in not knowing what or where to turn or go to now.

If I could give zero stars I would. Saw him in Feb when my symptoms first began and he got up and walked out of the room, never even addressing the positive rheumatoid factor in my blood work. Fast forward to yesterday when the storm rolls in and I suddenly have severe joint pain and cannot use both hands. Several friends recommend Dr.Darley again so I figured I would give it another shot and he said I needed more bloodwork and couldn't see me till February. Had he listened to me in the first place I wouldn't be where I am today and would have the necessary meds for my hands to be able to work.

Absolutely terrible, didn’t read my chart or listen to my issues. Completely rushed through the appointment even though I waited 3 months to see him. Didn’t help me at all, still in loads of pain.

My pharmacy lost my prescription and Dr Darleys office refused to send a new one. Absolutely ridiculous.

Came here a couple months ago after being told by another doctor to see a rheumatologist. They asked for bloodwork to see if we were eligible to make an appointment. They told us they would see us and we had an appointment. Dr. Darley and the staff were nice at the appointment. They told us they would call back in 2 weeks with the results of the lab work they ordered. We had to call them a month later to get results because they never followed up. They said there was absolutely no sign of a problem and insinuated that we were making symptoms up. But we weren’t very impressed with the service and response time after the fact. I’m just wondering why they let us make an appointment in the first place if we had no issues whatsoever.

10 month update: Dr. Darley is still my favorite Rheumatologist. He considers thoughfully anything I bring up and he doesn't have phony-sincere or condescending bedside manner like a lot of Rheumatologists do. He's smart and authentic, and listens to my input about my treatment. The staff is always pleasant to work with. Thanks, Dr. Darley! ---Previous review: I know it's so hard to find a specialist you like, especially one accepting new patients; in-network; and someone you feel like it's actually a valid 2-way conversation. I am very critical of doctors. Seeing the Google ratings, I nearly canceled my first appt here. I'm SO glad I followed through to at least meet the doctor. I have found my Rheumatologist! Setting the appointment was easy; the admin are awesome; the nurse I met is awesome; the doctor is awesome. What a huge relief! If you're shopping around, trying to find someone, I say, don't let the Google stuff deter you before you give it a chance.

I've seen him twice. Absolutely terrible experience. I never felt listened to. He didn't give any advice or answers on anything that could help with my pain or what it could be caused from. He didn't fully examine me. He looked at my labs from 3 months prior telling me how I should be feeling now based off of those numbers. I felt good 3 months ago other than a UTI. He asking if that was taken care of. It took me over a week to get a hold of them during that time to get an antibiotic for it. I saw the labs posted up and knew I had the UTI. I should have just went to my family dr it would have been much faster. I didn't want to waste time and money getting another test done and pay another co-pay. It wasn't worth being miserable waiting away for a call from the dr. In the end he told me to come back in 6 months. I didn't get any answers to what was going on with my health. I left feeling extremely frustrated and upset. It was a waste of time and money. I wouldn't go back or recommend him to anyone. Worst drs experience I've had.
