First time visiting Baker St Cakes and the presentation of the cakes, tarts and macarons were good. I had a hard time what to buy as I wanted one of each item. When I got home both the tart and cupcake were amazing and definitely will be coming back for more. The cupcake had a very light airy marshmallow frosting that was covered with chocolate. The cake itself was very light and fluffy that melts in your mouth.

I had ordered a small birthday cake for my sons 3rd birthday. It was a yellow cake with a blue drip. It was the tastiest cake ever. I had tried Baker street cupcakes and based on that I had got in touch for them to do his birthday cake. It was so delicious chocolate sponge with chocolate buttercream and the amount of sweetness was perfect icing wasn't too sweet either so it all tasted amazing together. I will definitely be going to Baker street again.

If you’re looking for a great shop, this is it. I’m not normally a cake person unless it taste super light, fluffy and the cream is just perfect. I’ve been to this shop many times, I can’t get enough of their cakes. And if for some reason you don’t see what you want, they’re constantly updating their menu you will for sure find something. Their macarons are delightful. I have placed an order for a few large cakes as well and the attention to detail is impeccable. It is obvious that the owner and baker are very passionate about this business. Would love for them to expand in the country.

Today I went with my 12-year old daughter for the second time to this cake shop that she personally found so amazing. We wanted to buy an almond pastry and get it in this lovely pink cake box. The almond pastry was not available today and what we bought (big almond croissant and big chocolate brownie) was given to us in a white paper bag. I knew how keen my daughter was for this pink box and asked the sales lady if it would be possible to still get it with this pink cake box. She said \We don't have any anymore.\ We left the shop disappointed. Neither was the almond pastry there, neither did we get the cake box. I personally could not believe that the shop would be running out of cake boxes on a Sunday. I said to my daughter that I want to sit in the car (which was parked almost in front of the shop) and wait to see with what other customers are leaving the shop. Well, it was truly disappointing for my daughter to witness that 4 clients left the shop with pink boxes (3 Indians, 1 Chinese lady). Pastries for which she paid with her own pocket money. I wanted to re-enter the store and confront the sales lady (who on our first visit did not know what the ingredients of the pastries are!) and ask why we did not deserve to get a nice box as well but decided not to do so. I didn't want to upset my daughter even more. Excellent customer service for me means \going the extra mile\. I explicitly asked and would have appreciated getting the box (knowing my daughter would have loved to keep the box), but we were lied to! If cake boxes are handed out only for highly decorative pastries then the sales lady could have simply said so and not told us there wouldn't be any boxes anymore. My daughter was thinking of getting one of those tall chocolate cakes (value 50!!!) for her birthday next month.... Guess what? I will get her 2 cakes for that money from another patisserie! I hope this incident didn't happen because I'm white .....
