Braunstone Hall Stables Museum

This museum is located in what was the former Stables block of Braunstone Hall, Braunstone Park, Leicester. It is accessed (by car) from Gooding Avenue, Leicester as well as being able to be walked to across Braunstone Park. In addition to historical records about the Braunstone, Leicester area it also contains artifacts of the Winstanley family who owned Braunstone Hall (their Family seat for over three hundred years) and the Braunstone estate which surrounded it until the entire estate including the Hall was compulsorily purchased by Leicester City Council in 1925 for housing. The building has exhibits over two floors and is disabled accessible on the ground floor but there is no lift to the upper floor. There is a defibrillator located on it's exterior wall adjacent to the entrance to the building. Car parking is available in the small area in front of the building. (Braunstone Hall itself - which is adjacent to this museum - is now the Winstanley House Hotel, Leicester).
