I have been with Hansom Cabs for while now, I am based in Leicester and I know pretty much the traffic conditions at each time, so whether they need to follow the standard route or derouting, they always chose the best option and never afffected the fair of the ride..which is the chapest in Leicester! And literally they are only 30sec walk from the train Station...Awesome! ..."Hansom Taxis, they are Awesome! :D

Never ever use Hansoms again after my latest experience. After getting off the train I required a taxi and didn't want to wait. So I decided to go to Hansoms. The driver I got I'm not sure where his head was at but it was the worst journey I have ever had, and I use taxis daily! The driver had all the windows open, wouldn't mind but it was minus 1 out and he didn't want to shut the windows, plus I can only describe his driving as incompetence. He kept tapping the brake for no reason, so we was close to bunny hopping all the way, for a 10 minute drive it was the longest journey ever. All that and he still got a 4 tip becouse he couldn't change a tenner, absolutely ridiculous. I DONT RECOMMEND and suggest you wait and order one their are plenty good ones to choose from.

DO NOT USE. Terrible service from both the driver and office manager. The driver chose the longer route and after I suggested a shorter route, he argued and said the route doesn't have an impact on the fare (fixed fare). However, this definitely made an impact on my travels. Very bizarre defense. Perhaps the only taxi firm that will not drop you inside the station - they prefer to drop you outside, so that you have to cross the road in the pouring rain. Save your money and use the taxi firm across the road - you'll get there quicker, right outside your desired destination and better service overall! Will not be using again!

Very friendly staff, always very quick and great value. Right next to the train station which sits perfectly when commuting between meetings and the drivers are very friendly. Keep up the good work

The only Taxi Service we use and trust, Rang up and taxi driver there in a matter of minutes, never let us down !!!!!! Fares are cheap and very reasonable, havent got one bad thing to say about them :D

Avoiding this one! Such a waste of time! I should have read the reviews below and used a different firm. Looking at their responses below, these guys only reply to shift blame! They clearly refuse to take any responsibility and it shows how terrible their customer service is! A waste of time, very rude and will definitely NOT be using their services again. Save your money and spend it with a company that deserves it!

Tried these before and they were ok. However, I booked a cab today about 45 minutes early. The cab didn't arrive so 5 minutes later I called to see where it was to be told that the driver was still at home but they could send one from the office, which would take another 15 minutes. Poor service really, I had to be somewhere so now going to be late. I won't be booking again.
