If i could put minus stars i would. Possible the worst letting agency ever. Some of the many issues i had: I had cold water for weeks and rang them daily to get someone out. They finally booked someone in & they didn't even turn up and then couldn't get someone out for another few days! Carbon monoxide machine died (it was not one you could replace the battery) This beeped every minute for a month before we moved out. I rang everyday for this to get sorted and it never did. You always get the answer of 'oh the person you need to speak to isn't in at the moment, i'll give them a message to get back to you'. They never ever will. 6 months after moving out of the property we were still being harassed by the old electric & gas company to pay for the time after we moved out & before the new tenant moved in. This equated to over 200. This was addressed to Lucas Grant Lettings , however with our new address on it. It took hours of sorting this out with the electric/gas company with no help form Lucas Grant. I could go on and on with issues. Do not use this letting agent whether a tenant or landlord

Had a nightmare trying to get our deposit back. On check-out we were told by Lucas that we would receive an email in a couple of days, to reply and then the money would be transferred within 3 days. After 14 days without an email and having to chase them and being told they are dealing with it we received the email; excuse for being late- finding the cost of a light bulb (our only deduction)! I replied straight away and expected as set out in the email the money would be returned within 3 days. This was not the case so we had to chase them for the next week to get our money back. Eventually 23 days after check-out we have received our deposit. This breaks their own contract of return with 14 days and MyDeposits 10 days. Other issues: Failed to carry out any of the inspections that were set out in the contract. Whether the landlord knew of this I'm unsure. When a wet patch appeared on the lounge ceiling below the bath they took 14 days to send someone round, then another long period until the problem was fixed. They presented us with a Section 21 Notice on the evening of the last day they could, therefore after the working day had finished. It was also addressed to only one tenant. I had this confirmed that it would not have been recognised by a County Judge. The only good thing about this place is Mark, who arranged with the landlord for us to stay another month due to our circumstances at the time.

I had my bicycle stolen in the communal area of the block (\protected\ by a gate with code) even if it was locked up in the bike box and even if there is active CCTV. I asked for the record so I could handle it to the police, initially they said that the landlord had it and they would get in touch with me. This has gone on for more than two months and I called them almost every day. After two months and a half I was exasperated, they admitted that the record is kept for only 6 hours so they couldn't help me. It took 2 months to tell me that their security is ridiculous and useless. They should be ashamed for their lack of professionalism.
