Every year my family go to your restaurant at Christmas as a lil treat for ourselves as the food its so great and the staff are so friendly and personable. Obviously due to the pandemic going on we can't dine in, but we have ordered take away a couple of times and it is just as delicious. Hopefully once the restaurant opens again we will be able to book a table and eat as much as we can.

Can’t. Stop. Eating. My first time at Shan Shui, veg spring rolls were fresh and light, crispy chilli beef was superb. Rice cooked well, and all nice and hot. Will be back.
Absolutely disgusting customer service! We order from them regularly, always around 50 worth of food! After tonight we will never use them again! 2hours after placing an order we received COLD food because the driver was busy! We had called chasing the food twice before arrival and where told 5 minutes both times! Called again on arrival and was told sorry give the food back if you are not happy?! No offer to resolve it... we waited 2 hours to be told just give it back if your not happy?! Gave the food back and continued the discussion with the manager apparently, who eventually offered to re cook the food and we will receive it in 30minutes but we must pay over the phone? When they where about to accept 53 in cash for cold food?! Saying no we will pay cash on arrival and this was now refused! When I explained that this was unacceptable, as a regular customer, they have not provided us with loyal service...HE DISCONNECTED THE CALL!! Moral of the story, if you haven't got capacity to fulfil the order DONT ACCEPT IT!!!
Thank you Shan Shui for reaching out and making amends for the problems on NYE. Rating changed from 1 to 5, as your food is still another level! Just hope you can get more staff in to handle the extra demand on public holidays in future. ////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////// Thanks for ruining NYE 2020 Shan Shui. After booking our take away early in the afternoon for collection at 7.30pm, you accepted the order. You then emailed me 20 minutes before the pick-up time to tell me the order was being processed and reminded me not to be late. Why then, when I turned up at 7.30pm was there 20 people waiting inside and queueing outside your restaurant waiting for their orders? Every one of them had ordered early and turned up at the time you'd agreed with them. Those at the back of the queue said they'd already been waiting for 30 minutes! How on earth do you think this is acceptable? Why did you accept all of these order if you didn't have the staff to fulfil them on time? Why email people telling them to not forget about collecting when the order wasn't ready?, Why, when I asked how much longer I'd have to wait, was the reply from your staff \I dunno!\ I have been a massive fan of yours ever since moving to Leighton Buzzard and after what has been a terrible year, getting a take away from our favourite local Chinese was a small silver lining that me and my other half had been looking forward to all through Christmas. Thanks for ruining it!
I’m sitting outside as I have been since 1930! It’s now 20:22 I can’t comment on the food clearly AS WE HAVEN'T GOT ANY! I can comment on the service and I’d say until they get the web ordering and timings sorted I simply wouldn’t bother. I’ve never waited this long for a sit down and I will never come back. Shame as they had some nice reviews.
