Fabulous place for a walk cafe in car park worth a visit

On our visit to Rushmere Country Park we were not aware of the lake etc. There is loads of wildlife to see from ducks, swans to squirrels and a nice route round the lake. Well worth a detour to have a look.

Found this lake on a cost to Rushmere Country Park. Beautiful little body of water with the remnants of and old Boathouse

Quite a nice wood with plenty of footpaths to make your walk as long or as short as you like, but so many people that it isn't a place to go if you are looking for seclusion or a bit of solitude or even peace and quiet. Car park is three pounds for the day and there are toilets in a couple of places so not bad but you will have to put up with people barbecuing where they shouldn't be, cyclists coming at you all angles and dogs falling out with each other. Nice to see a large family of swans on the lake.
