Staff generally great. Night ruined by generally aggressive bouncer who felt need to lecture me on having removed face mask approximately metre from booked table. Said lecture took place while bouncer stood a metre away from me while not wearing a mask, thus breaking guidelines himself. Bouncer was a complete jobsworth.

Pros: Friendly staff. Good beer. Not too noisy. Large, so you'll probably always fine a seat. Cons: TV's everywhere, so you can't escape the football or whatever. Terrible food. I went with a friend for lunch. I had a double burger, which was was small and dry: they seem to try to disguise the lack of flavour and lack of juicy beef by slathering everything in a strong sauce, and offering such culinary high points as cheetoes or Monster Munch (I'm not joking). My friend had beef topside wrapped in Yorkshire Pudding, which looked *extremely* dry, and would have been inedible without the sauce-boat of gravy. Summary: Like a Whetherspoon's, but without the character, and with worse food.

Very good value for food. Had a five plate sharer at our table and the portion sizes were very generous A large selection of vegetarian foods on the menu too

The pub we wanted was no longer doing food so we popped in here on the off chance and we are glad we did. The staff were super friendly and when our desserts were a bit late arriving they were falling over themselves to make amends (3 different members of staff apologised). Charlotte deserves a medal, she was working a double shift, always approaching us with a smile. We were pretty chilled as we were on holiday and everyone is getting used to a new way of serving and being served. This was not a familiar pub chain to us but we will look out for them in the future, good basic food served at a sensible price, even without the government 'M-W eat out' incentive. It was nice to hear too that the staff were furloughed rather than fired like the dreaded Weatherspoons! A company that looks after their hardworking staff gets my vote every time.
