This is the 5th time we've hired a boat, and the first time we've used Wyvern. Can honestly say that the boat, the service (and the beautiful Grand Union Canal) are as good as any previous hire, if not THE best. The boat was really quiet which was very impressive and very welcome too - I've had to wear earplugs on previous hire boats. The boats are kitted out to a high standard. Will definitely be back. Highly recommended.

Amazing canal holiday company, helpful and dilligent. Canal boats are well equipped, comfortable, warm. Lovely stretch of the grand union north or south. Highly recommend

Great family holiday. Very clean and fully serviced barges, ours comfortably berthed six, leaving the sitting area free. Beds a little short for over six footers. Very comprehensive introduction and instruction to and through the first lock. Then freedom to cruise, and explore at a pace akin to Zen. Variety of locations to moor for the nights, from rural, canal-side inns to town centres, with easy access to shops and restaurants. Can't wait to book again.

We've now had three holidays with Wyvern and have always thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. There's nothing like life at 4 mph, going from pub to pub. A truly professional, yet down to earth business providing great boats and friendly service.

We had a great time on the canals. I would highly recommend Wyvern and their very well maintained boats. Everybody was helpful, the boat worked perfectly in all regards, the tuition was thorough but easy enough to follow and the information provided was useful and informative. The boat was perfectly clean, comfortable and well equipped. We really could not have asked for, nor expected more. A thoroughly good trip with a boatyard that cannot be faulted. If in doubt about where to go or who to book with, look no further.
