11 Market Cross Pl, Aldeburgh

I was there 20 odd years ago. I really liked Orford Ness. Aldeburgh was close to being enchanting and Maggie Hambling's sculpture was enchanting. I love bleak. I love spare.

Really cool sculpture in the middle of the beach.
If you just love metallic sculptures of shells and the like, particularly ones situated on shingle beaches then it's safe to say this should probably be a stop off on your itinerary. If you come here, when everyone should be at work and it's not the season for tourists then you'll revel in the opportunity for a crowd free selfie with this monolith. Allegedly, many people objected to its construction but you do have to wonder why. Maybe one day it'll be pulled down by a group of angry students objecting to its link to the use of dungarees in the fishing industry. There's also a handy nearby car park with a ton of space. The sculpture only gets 3 stars as it had a bit of graffiti on it and the whole thing held my personal attention for about 4 minutes.
Its aok, good tourist attraction, for the history of Aldeburgh,
A nice quiet beach. A bit stoney but ok.
