Due to Covid-19, this is strictly a To Go restaurant with no out door seating. Since this was our first visit to this Korean Mom & Pop restaurant, we ordered the somewhat pricey Seafood Sampler Platter of fish, scallops, shrimp, clams, and fries. The scallops and fish were our favorites. Both were a fair size and the tastes were very good. The shrimp were good, but the clams and fries were unremarkable. They accept credit cards, but not American Express.
Very friendly people who make the freshest, best fish and chips this side of the Mississippi. Will be back on multiple occasions! #IAmSecond 2 A's Up!!
Great food at reasonable prices. I've been here several times and I've never been disappointed. We ordered the Family Order (fish, shrimp and chips) for a little over 50 and, although it may sound pricey, we had plenty of leftovers because the fish planks are huge! Not only are the portions big, the food tastes great. The batter is perfectly fried, crispy, not greasy and complements their seafood very well. The best fish and chips in San Diego!
My fiance and I frequently travel to Australia where we love to eat Fish and Chips. Unfortunately there are not as many shops out here that serve them. We stumbled upon Chef Johns and absolutely loved it. We ordered fish, chips, clam strips, and shrimp. The batter was delicious and nothing seemed overly greasy. The food had a nice crunch with a buttery mouth feel. My only wish is that they had more options as to what fish you can order and what other menu options are available. Many shops in Australia sell potato cakes and crab sticks. Crab sticks are just deep fried imitation crab but they are so delicious and it's nice to have something sweet with those savory salty flavors. Overall they aren't doing anything wrong. I just wish they would add some of the stuff that the overseas shop carry.
