Spent four nights here with the family. The barn is an amazing place, in a lovely setting. Wood stove inside, fire pit outside, plenty of wood. No TV, which was a bonus, so we spent our evenings outside round the fire, or inside playing games or reading. Plenty to do round and about during the day.

One of our best finds, a truly beautifully crafted and fitted place that suits all seasons. We arrived in snow and the owner, John, was more than happy to ferry us and our stuff up the lane. It is very apparent that they want you to love the place as much as they clearly do and that makes a huge difference. Lots to do in the surrounding area or, as we found, a fantastic place to do nothing but look at the view, light the log burner and sit and enjoy the peace and quiet. Highly recommend eating at the Oak Inn at the bottom of the lane, really friendly welcome and amazing food. We will definitely return to this place.
So tranquil and picturesque that we immediately booked again - really looking forward to returning in August. An oasis of calm - luxuriate in the simplicity and wonder of nature. Just don't book when we want to go back again!
The Cruckbarn is a truly wonderful, peaceful and relaxing place to stay. If you need to get away from the stresses and strains of everyday life, then this is the place to be. We were greeted by John and Janet on our arrival to show us where everything was and how it worked, plus a fabulous cake left for us which had been made by Janet and milk already in the fridge to make that much needed cup of tea. Plenty of places to visit in the area and a visit into Ludlow is a must, beautiful little town steeped in history with plenty of restaurants to choose from. Heavy hearts when we left, but we will, without a doubt, go back again.
We had a wonderful week in the Cruckbarn, enjoying the fabulous barn and surrounding countryside. The barn is superbly appointed and very comfortable; there's even giant marshmallows for over the fire pit! We woke one morning to find a small group of deer ambling around the front of the garden. It's a superb location - far enough from civilisation to see the dark skies (weather permitting) but great for accessing Shropshire, Heresfordshire and the Welsh borders.
