I have been a long time customer of Iris and I have always been happy with the service I received until this past interaction. This has little to do with the people who work at Iris and nothing to do with Dr. Gibb but more with it's policies and Nikon. I wanted new lenses in my existing frames that I had previously purchased from Iris and so they had the frame information in their database. However, after two attempts and two visits back to Iris, Nikon could not get the shape right to fit. I asked for a refund because it was proving to be too much going back and forth and I wanted to pursue other options. This is when I was told by Iris that their policy does not allow refunds. My only option was to give them my frames, at my own risk, and have them sent to Nikon or in store credit. I didn't like their current stock and so I begrudgingly gave them my frames but expressed my dislike over their no refund policy because I had not received a product and Nikon kept getting it wrong, making me liable. In my opinion this is fraudulent. Then, the icing on the cake, I get a call from Iris telling me that Nikon broke my frames. The options I was given was to go in and purchase a new set of frames at my expense and have lenses put in that I already paid for which means I am spending more money than intended or only now they were willing to give me a refund on my lenses but I would be without my glasses. No discounts were offered, no accountability from Nikon, everything fell to me the customer. I took the refund. I will no longer be shopping at Iris. I will find another company with better policies. Buyer beware!

I am personally in the sales and finance world - so customer service is huge to me and I have to call a spade a spade and give the manager at this store the biggest virtual - covid friendly - hug/shoutout for how above and beyond she went for me when she did not need too! I have had one of the wildest turn of events when trying to receive my new glasses from Iris - in Cranbrook, B.C - but, that was until the manager of this store - Amanda - had reached out! Without a hitch this woman went above the moon with her efforts and customer service for me to ensure that I had received my new glasses while in Vancouver - over Thanksgiving! Anyone and I mean ANYONE in need of eyewear - these people are the people to see! that goes for people in Alberta - B.C - or even Newfoundland! They treat you like family and honestly go way out of their way to make sure they get it done!!! Thank you Amanda & thank you Iris for being the experts you are in all the crazy situational sh*t I had to put you through - and coming through getting me my glasses - with borders being of no issue! YOU GUYS ROCK!!!!!!!!!! -J
