Really great site - much can be accessed on the level: climb up high if you want to for spectacular views. A medieval castle was like town under one roof with bakery, butchers, brewers, cooking etc.
Interesting castle enough left to interpret. All set in lovely location, with super friendly and informed staff.
Love this castle, so interesting & well kept...
Beautiful as usual spectacular and wonderful if you love history its a must.
(covid19 visit) First time at middleham Castle, no car park so it was on street parking. A busy horse training village so lots of horses about on the roads, so be careful. The site itself is a lovely ruin. With lots of places for children to explore and tire themselves out with a couple of picnic benches for pack ups etc. There is a mezzanine floor with access up a set of wooden stairs and out down a set of stone spiral stairs (covid19 setup). It was a pleasant day and very nice to walk around. Applaud the staff during these trying times.
Excellent Castle to visit, plenty to explore and loads of history, all set in a magnificent, scenic part of the Country
Brilliant company and great value for family.
