Called in while walking from Aysgarth. Excellent traditional village pub. Several real ales. The local Porter was in good condition. Friendly landlord.

Staying at Swallows nest holiday cottage. Lovely local pub feel, friendly atmosphere and staff. Felt very safe with all covid-19 precautions

Incredible food like this still exists in pubs. Service was very grumpy to begin with, but to be fair warmed up. Good beers but the food, while not expensive is so bad it’s hard to believe. Burger cremated, chips so over done and dry they were inedible even to hungry children. Just amazed at the positive reviews. Only pub in the village so maybe folk are desperate
