Proper hostel with high standards - AC remote in room, very clean and tidy, lockers with CCTV, provided with a towel (but no soap or shampoo), slippers are in the room for showering and it’s centrally located. No hot water. Unfortunately it’s quite expensive for what you are getting - paid about 680 through Agoda (which is ridiculous) and walk in price is 520 (for a dorm). Checking out tomorrow because there are plenty of private rooms cheaper or the same price right around the corner. Hostel is pretty much empty and I would imagine it’s because their prices can’t compete with other hotels listed online. Sadly I only chose this place because I thought there would be more people to meet but that’s not the case.

Place is clean, highly recommended if you're in the city with a group or for some work. Stayed there for a week with my colleagues and we encountered no issues. The staff were helpful and friendly. They have a space upstairs where you can play board games if you're in to that. It's no smoking place so you got to get outside the building for your nicotine fix.

Everything about my stay at Soledad was great except for one thing: the towel had crazy lint! It almost made my black shirt and dark blue shorts white that I had to change as soon as I realized it. Not sure if it’s because the towels are new or are of inferior quality. Hope it gets addressed otherwise I’ll cause annoyance to guests.

Shared bathrooms, tiny beds and higher rates than in manila. The american breakfast was not what they served instead served the just plain untoasted white bread and instant coffee only. I booked for mixed dorm they decided themselves to placed me to female room.

The place is clean and family friendly. The staff is friendly and courteous except for one guy who has long hair that normally goes on shift at night was very rude and condescending. We requested the AC to be turned on. He pretended not to hear and continued walking. I asked again, he lifted his eyebrows and snubbed me. He could've just told us no or perhaps answered us. It would be better if they train ALL of their staff in customer service and CSAT.
