This is a fantastic pre-school. We sent our eldest child to Abacus until she started school, our two year old currently attends and we will be sending our youngest too. The staff and other parents are very friendly, caring and welcoming. Being a small pre-school with a high staff to child ratio, Abacus has the advantage of being able to provide a homely environment where the children are looked after in small groups. The staff are extremely well qualified, many holding teacher status. I believe the combination of a small community based unit and the quality of staff benefits the children enormously: they have fun, are cared for brilliantly and are still treated as pre-schoolers, rather than Reception children, yet their learning is tailored individually meaning the progress they make is amazing.
