Being retired I didn’t feel I needed a car. After a couple of years I decided that I did need some form of transport. I saw a Mini Cooper advertised and went to see it. It looked a clean car and I was told that the car had a full service history. I paid the full asking price of 3,500. I was surprised to be offered a one, yes, a one month warranty and had to pay 100 towards the car service. They promised to MoT the car. I was due to collect the car the following week. It took me 2 months before I collected it. They said that they were waiting for a part for the gearbox. Surprise surprise they couldn’t find the service history but promised to send it on to me, if they could find it. A few months after collecting a friend of mine, a mechanic, checked the car over and told me the the gearbox had not been touched. He pointed out that the near side rear quarter had been badly repaired recently. Draw your own conclusions but I believe they damaged the car and repaired it, badly, without telling me.I would never ever use them again neither would I recommend them as they are a totally mendacious bunch of pikeys.

Buyers be very aware. There's no polite words to describe this bunch. My car went wrong in less than twenty four hours after collecting it . Returned it to them for repair. It went wrong again a day after its return. AA picked up the the original fault straight away. Turns out that they only pretended to have it repaired. They've gone out of business.. Would have given this outfit minus but site wouldn't allow me to post.

Buyers beware. This garage are crooks . They sell cars with outstanding finance on them . They lie to their customers. Would avoid at all costs

I bought my 2011 Porsche Boxster from Cars2you in Lichfield in March 2020. The buying process seemed fine. There were issues to sort and a service to be done which they agreed to do. Cars2you are 120 miles from home but it was the car I wanted and the deal was good (too good?). When I picked up the car the showroom was empty for "decorating". My car was in their service unit. I paid before collecting (stupid) and the paperwork was completed quickly. Although there was no V5 they did tax it for me for 6 months. This was a surprise on the day. On the drive home the car threw oil warnings. I've since drained 3.5 lites of oil to get it to the maximum level. I had to adjust the roof they fixed and the spare key does not work. I've found 3 large bolts in the door bin that may go somewhere. I've had to sort all this out as since picking up the car their phone lines are not working and their website is down. I've tried repeatedly to get in touch with no success. I guess they stopped trading. Update: 28th March 2020 Exhaust tailpipes are loose and pointing at the ground, discovered fuel cable cord is broken and the car has now started misfiring. Still no response from Cars2you. Updated: 30th March 2020. I live a long way away so cannot travel back to their unit but it appears to be impossible to contact Cars2You. Totally gutted as I trusted them. I spoke with my solicitor this morning to follow up but don't hold out much hope. I now have a broken car that it looks like is going to be down to me to fix. I hope they are sleeping better at night than me.

Would give zero stars! Stay clear you have been warned and be mindful of a possible name change with the company still in operation. Please check!! Avoid at all costs. Bought a car as needed something more reliable, 3 weeks later clutch had gone. Took it to Ford for a diagnostic, told a clutch master cylinder needed to be replaced. Was told this is not covered under warranty. After 3 weeks!! Eventually having complained persistantly the car went back under warranty with a load of grief in between, such a struggle and stress I can not explain just to get this booked in. No courtesy cars available. Picked up the car and 10 days later driving along and one of their mechanics tools fell from underneath the dashboard resulting in the clutch immediately going again. In a nutshell it was bodged. Hassle continued to get it booked in for the 2nd time as above and only after having posted a review on Facebook did the MD contact me as his employees would not provide me with such contact details. He reassured me that he would over see the repairs.... clearly not! Car went in, courtesy car provided excuse of "there was air in the clutch" car fixed......until 8 days after when the clutch went again. Made complaint to finance company taking 3 weeks to get to today where I have been informed that the company has folded and I am now liable for repairs with no warranty now avaliable. People should not be treated this way and I hope your business suffers like I have over these past 9 weeks! Absolutely terrible and I wish I would have steered clear from the off.

What a bunch of criminals, not paying outstanding finance on trade in cars. Now gone bust what a surprise!

We drove over 60 miles to view a Mercedes SLK which was advertised on their car video as ‘beautiful and stunning’ on that basis and it’s other details We went to view. sadly the car was not in a showroom as the pictures indicated however it was on a very small what I can only describe as Arthur Daley’s pitch. That aside first appearances are important -however my confidence in this company was already being questioned. Regardless I viewed the car it was not presented in my opinion as neither beautifull or stunning it was a typical car of its age and mileage, well used and showing all commensurate wear, however it has had paint on the front off side wing which was dull and lacking the deep lacquer finish it should have, the interior particularly the centre console had at some point been sprayed- no problem with this however a badge or something similar had been removed and lifted the new paint this exposing the original paint, surely this simple couple of issues should have been rectified on this allegedly stunning car prior to sale? General scratches also saddened me. In summary an average car. ’Misrepresented’ -wasting my time and yours ,should you want to view. I noted that other feedback was good and that convinced me to make the 130 mile round trip, sadly all the above is true and I feel so strongly about transparency that I have written this. I cannot speak about any personal contact as there was a car washer who ignored us and the salesman seemed more interested on being on his phone whilst keeping warm in his office despite my eye contact to gain his attention.
