If you want an outstanding job done by a professional team, (that clean up after them before they go home, every night), then you need James Cook Building Services. James recently completed an extension on our listed barn. The work is outstanding. Both the barn and the builders, (James Cook), have been asked to submit an entry to the LABC awards for both the building design and the craftmanship of the work done. James is currently building some hand-made oak wardrobes for us at the moment. They already look fantastic. I dont normally bother with reviews, however, in this instance, I thought it was worth the effort - just to say thanks for doing such a great job for us.

James is not just an excellent builder but he is also a great craftsman and designer who takes pride in his work. We had the whole house renovated and James was able to deliver the project on time. We had the kitchen/dining room wall taken down and he sorted out the documentation and met with someone from the council for the building regs. As the renovation progressed, we uncovered a number of things wrong with our house and he was able to rectify all the problems from plumbing to building to electrical. It was great that he really took the stress out of that for us. We had a kitchen designer but after we took down the old kitchen, James gave us a very useful suggestion to make a built-in utility. He took his time to make appointments with two different kitchen suppliers to get quotes. He then custom-made the utility cupboard and came back to help us to put the white goods into place when we moved. We also asked to have the space between the ceiling and the top of the kitchen cupboards to be sealed off and he was able to deliver it beautifully. He also suggested us to build a TV recess in order to not waste the space and put it to good use. We were thrilled with the suggestion and now we all enjoy using it! I would definitely recommend James for his attention to detail and his great designer mind.
