Good for kids
Lovely small wooded area ideal for walking, no bike trails. Leads to public footpath for walking through fields towards Lichfield. Very safe and clean

A lovely walk that is great for talking dogs. In the spring it is often known as the blue bell woods because of it amount of blue bell flowers. Definitely a worth while walk. Some of it is now out of bonds but most not.
An absolute hidden gem in Lichfield, tucked away in Christchurch. Leomansley Woods feels an untouched wonderland from the fairy tale books of your childhood, the wildlife isn't manicured and there is no set trail. There are different paths you can take through the woods but these are just worn down trails where others have walked so you can choose your own adventure each time. Of course if you err on side of caution choose the path most walked. These woods are absolutely stunning and well worth a wander, especially in the spring when the flooring of the woods becomes a breathtaking carpet of bluebells. Unfortunately if you are a wheelchair user or have mobility problems the woods here are not suitable at all. I managed to push a pushchair halfway through the woods and back but any further and it would be impossible.
Beautiful picturesque walk.
