The fact you can't set up a direct debit for ground rent payments or transfer it by bank or online is outdated and ridiculous. Had to get a cheque book just for the sole purpose of paying them twice a year.

Zero customer service impossible to contact unless you write . When you pay your ground rent for the year they state if a receipt is required enclose a stamped self address envelope. On the sale of my property just needed proof of ground rent paid so enclosed self addressed envelope which they sent back with a letter stating it will cost 20 to release proof that I’d paid !!! A company still in the dark ages and are quick enough to fine or charge anyone who can’t get a payment to them unless it’s a cheque. So glad to be shut of this Mickey Mouse company following the sale of my property. If I could have give zero stars I would .
Thank you very much for your patience and understanding in matters you have helped me to solve. I can asssure anybody whom may require to write a letter to this company that correspondence really is being responded too and promptly x Many thanks for your help and assistance. Its actually made a nice change to sit and write the good old fashioned way for once! Many Thanks Again x Justine
Sold my late aunt's house completed July 2020 paid 75 to Shenstone Properties via my solictor to transfer lease to new owners. Aunt passed away Oct 2020 in a care home. Today 21st jan 2021 have received a demand for payment of ground rent for the next 6 months 2021. Are they so POORLY RUN that they have never documented the change and got my 75. Ground rent is only 10 a year for 500 years. They don't entertain phone calls and have NO EMAIL. So it's letter only. What a SHAMBLES firm this is.
I have had to order a cheque book in order to pay Shenstone, I think it's ridiculous that I can't pay by bank transfer. I have tried ringing them but they don't answer the phones due to Covid! Unbelievable!!
Looks like lines are closed and you need to post a letter? I haven’t received my ground rent invoice but looking at previous reviews there’s a 50 late fee.
This service is still in the 70's. Nobody pays by 'cheque book' anymore, many modern banks don't even offer the service, many customers don't know what a cheque is. The only means to contact is by posting a physical letter with a stamp, wait for them to receive the letter and post one back in response. No option to pay any any other frequency than 6 monthly. None of this would be such an issue if it wasn't for such a miniscule amount of money being requested. I seriously doubt that the company has access the internet, however on the off-chance: Shenstone: You can increase the profitability of your operation via improved efficiencies and reduced overheads and making it easier for accounts to pay. This can be done through some very obvious, mostly free, easy steps: -Create an email account -Set up a digital spreadsheet to track your accounts and payments -Implement reference numbers for each account, include on your correspondence -Provide your bank account and sort code for BACS transfers, customers provide their account number in the transaction reference -Provide an online portal for customers to pay by other mechanisms. The cost to serve of many options is lower than the overheads associated with processing cheques. Please feel free to reach out to me to discuss further if interested, happy to provide some free consultation. Thanks, Mark.
Can't get through to anyone to sort out ground rent issues. They don't even have an email address. They must still be living in the stone age!
