Not thoroughly cleaned. Had to redo everything. Hair scrunchie on the floor. Crud on trash can. Sawdust on cabinet handle. Seriously? During a pandemic spike they don't clean handles and knobs??? Wow! Not to mention very unfriendly at key pick up. I walked in an hour early just to see and an employee I wasn't even talking to literally said \Don't think being nice is going to get you in early.\ I guess being nice and friendly really upsets him. Really off putting. Been going for years and our yearly time share friends all complain about the unfriendly demeanor. It's a common conversation every year. No one wants to start their vacation dealing with angry bitter people. Being nice isn't hard.

Hot tub was awesome. Beds were perfect got great sleep.
What we arrived to was a filthy place. The blankets had holes, damaged and dirty kitchen equipment, super dirty and broken chairs, ants on the hot tub, broken jets on the hot tub, stained and filthy couches. It looked as if it was never cleaned this season and was left alone at closing time last fall. We were super disappointed and will never recommend this place or stay here again. We went to the front desk and management and they refused to change our accomodations or clean the room and facilities.
We usually stay at the quarters, this year they were fully booked so I found this on booking.com, and it was decent/cheaper price... The GOOD- it has 2bedroom, 2 bathrooms, full stocked eat in kitchen, living area, washer and dryer, you have your own personal hot tub, a decent sized pool also a BBQ grill etc, some units have a upstairs balcony, also person gated area/entrance to each unit during the day and depending on your neighbor during your stay it's very very quiet....... The BAD- first off it's very dirty(we had to re Clean almost everything especially the dishes, some coffee cups had dried coffee still on them), one of the bedrooms have NO TV (and with multiple kids sharing only one tv on our down time really was inconvenient), also another huge issue was they said they have free WiFi and give you the code and it absolutely does NOT connect! The living area and kitchen are very small, the rental company is rude and will not return calls (our neighbors are very loud starting at 9-11pm are banging around and thumping all night long we are on a ground level unit and absolutely very hard to get to sleep)... It's about a 5minute walk to the beach, if you are used to staying at a well/decent kept place then this is not for you! It's better then some places we have stayed at and still better than a hotel especially for the price.. but I would not want to stay here again. Out of 5 stars I'd say 2-3 stars but I guess it also depends what you are used to...
We have owned at this place for 30yrs and have watched the upkeep go down and down. It takes them forever to replace appliances, beds, tv's...anything. They removed the broken up bikes from each unit which was a good thing considering someone could get injured. There are ants all over in one bedroom. The water takes about a day or 2 to get hot. The patio tables and chairs are rusted and the bedding and curtains has probably only been changed out once in the 30 yrs. It time for us to sell this property but we wont get anything for it because it so outdated and unkept.The best thing about Lighthouse is that it's in a very good location for going to the beach and away from the hustle and bustle of the daily OC traffic.
